Our Mental and Physical Health

Firstly I want all of you to imagine a situation where you have a million bucks but you don’t have any friends because of your extreme mood swings, another scenario, you can buy a dozen variety of delicacies but your body cannot afford any of them and you live on salads. These situations are no longer fiction, this is the changing reality of our generation. Studies have found that our generation is getting older much faster than ever before. A significant portion of teenagers are found to be depressed, and young people are getting diabetic and are having heart problems. Our race to become more successful than our neighbours son has led us forget that we have a body to care. Our negligence towards our body and our mind, by taking exercise and meditation for granted, by eating what our tongue likes not what our body. All of us must have experienced staying up late the night and burying our eyes in our phones. All these things pile up and we become ill both physically and mentally. Needless to say, it's high time we must realize that absolutely nothing comes above our health. Now many of you would say especially girls that we don’t have anyone we can play with and that’s an actual problem, but we have to cope with what we have, home workout is a great alternative for that. If we are determined we can improve our physical well-being that simultaneously improves our mental fitness. But that’s not all about our mental health, stress is the root cause of all mental problems, people get serious about small things, complain, and regret to such a great extent that their mind gives up and hence they become depressed. Everything starts with the way we think, our approach is what drives our mind to a destination. A proven method to eliminate stress is meditation. Meditating calms our minds making us think more optimistic. A great method that I learned to stop regretting and start doing is that whenever I realize something goes wrong I do all those things that a normal person does- regret, blame, bang my head into the wall but only for 5 minutes. After that just say ‘can’t help it’. Results are never sudden neither they are ultimate. You have to get up in the morning, you have to work out even if your mind says no, only then you can make a difference. Start doing what your body wants, run, play, meditate make yourself ready to go and when anything goes wrong just say Can’t help it .

Thank You
